There are so many bedroom decoration ideas for women so your choices seem endless. Start with favorite colors, talents, interests, and hobbies from a cherished little lady in personalizing her room and making her special. Even with a budget, you can change the idea of decorating a woman’s bedroom that you have into the bedroom that she will love. Making your bedroom decoration idea alive on a small budget is very challenging. You can start by using what you have or can get cheaply, especially the furniture. You may find some furniture from another room in your house or in a garage sale that will be perfect with a fresh coat of paint or stain. We were given a dressing table and a bed table from Grandma’s house that we decided to use for my daughter’s bedroom.
My decoration idea begins by painting furniture into a prime green gloss enamel. I found some beautiful Holly Hobbie pieces in Sears in yellow and green that I hope my little girl likes too. My mother-in-law sewed the curtains and I made a bed sheet with ruffles and frills. I painted the walls with matching green. I painted trim shelves and built-in shades darker. The idea of a girls’ bathroom decor I imagined began to take shape. I embroidered the Holly Hobbie pillow and wall hangings to add to the theme decor. I searched the coloring book pictures onto the big screen and sewn by hand adding some brightly colored flowers, grass and swings. I used a yellow painted recycled photo frame and turned the idea of decorating a girls’ bedroom into a fresh new bedroom. Holly Hobbie’s collections and doll books from my daughter were prominently displayed on the bookshelves and dressers.

I found a theme light for the bedside table. Shortly thereafter, our woman’s bedroom decoration idea materialized in Jane Hobbie’s daughter’s bedroom. Fast forward to pre-teens and my daughter now likes purple and I still have a tight budget. Obviously we need a fresh look and some new bedroom decor ideas. Together we chose a new color of striped sheets that we found sold in purple and pink and white. We bought several sets of solid striped and fit sheets and I use them to sew new curtains and blankets. I took off the paint from the green dresser and painted it with a new, glossy and added new handle. We found bunk beds in “want ads” and painted them white too. The walls get a bright coat of bright latex-colored latex paint that is well coordinated with the sheets. We added black and white bean bags, a television and a desk to do homework.
I decided to be supportive when I wanted to watch movies and rock posters, like GREASE and KISS, on the wall. Others are added and played from time to time. You can stay within your budget and keep up with your child’s interests and hobbies. Help her change her “space” to show her favorite colors by spending several hours painting together. Be creative with the idea of decorating your woman’s bedroom and she will have a personal new look in her bedroom that will surely make a smile on her face. Find sales on fabrics or sheets to sew your own creations if you dare. Or save time by purchasing a set of linen, carpets, lamps and coordinated decorative items in a variety of beautiful themes and colors that will surely make a beautiful girl. Today you need to add PCs and printers and maybe one game console or two to make most preteens glad. It’s much harder on your budget than creating a fresh new look from the idea of a woman’s bedroom decor you have. Families that decorate together can share the fun and memories later. Consider taking pictures as well. I wish I had more of my visual memory. Some of my favorite moments work together to change the idea of decorating our daughters bedroom into the new bedroom my daughter loved for years.
